1961 Chevrolet Impala 4x4 Is Totally Awesome and Ready for Off-Road Experience

An iconic classic, the 1961 Chevrolet Impala takes on a whole new meaning when it's converted into a 4x4 off-road vehicle.

With off-road tires and a towering ground clearance,

this specific Impala is now equipped with a 1977 Chevy truck chassis that was swapped out for its own.

With a 400 cubic inch (6.6 liter) V8 engine and TH400 automatic transmission under the hood, it has the power to tackle any terrain1.

The 1961 model's stunning chrome details are still present on the stock body, which is now finished in a cool bronze hue with a white top.

The car is in excellent overall shape, is reputed to be "great in the snow," and has been driven on a daily basis recently despite a few rust spots.

Reviving this vehicle is a challenging but rewarding project that gives you the opportunity to give new life to a vehicle that was once the dominant force on the roads.
